(the reason I am panicky in the first video is because my nerves were shot - the dog before us kind of lost it and I was watching - not a good idea. Also, the goats were flightier than usual. So I reacted by trying to stop him down completely (a bad idea) and he by ignoring me. But in the end we qualified.
Second round was a lot more orderly

though he's off contact more. We're working on that now. Last time I was out (Tuesday) we switched up from the goats (which spoil us - they follow me almost regardless of what Ulfie does normally) to 15 sheep. It was a bit intimidating but we're trying to work on distance and teaching him how to rate the stock better. In the future, I think we'll be working with about five sheep and the same stuff.
Either way, he's an official herding titled dog now
